Peer Mentoring Scholars

Peer mentors serve as campus role models and provide guidance to new students adjusting to college life by helping them problem solve and connect to campus resources. Peer mentors also plays a key leadership role in the ability to encourage new students and assistant with college events.

Requirements to become a Peer Mentoring Scholar
• Completed 12 credit hours
• Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and must be in satisfactory academic standards
• Provide one (1) reference letter
• Be able to volunteer at least 2 hours a week to fulfill peer mentoring responsibilities
• Be able to participate in the Peer Mentoring Training and required meetings
• Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall 2019
