Reggie Daniel
The Reggie Daniel Motorhead Scholarship Fund
5 April 1948 – 28 September 2016
Reggie grew up in Charlotte enjoying a mischievously adventurous childhood. He graduated from Garinger High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After his military service, Reggie became a food service consultant. He graduated from the Atlanta School of Art and Central Piedmont Community College and was most recently the director of design for Camacho Associates. Recognized as an industry leader and innovator in the foodservice industry, Reggie was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Reggie was musically and artistically gifted, and he was passionate about the restoration of vintage vehicles, classic rock and blues, and motorcycles. He lived life to the fullest. There were no challenges too great for him. He was always ready to assist family, friends and acquaintances with moving, computer issues, and of course, fixing cars.
Reggie would be pleased to know that his ’51 Ford custom convertible is now a teaching tool for those interested in the automotive trade. The Reggie Daniel Motorhead Scholarship serves not only to honor Reggie’s memory but also to inspire and assist those with the desire to learn the skills needed to excel in the auto industry.
The greatest gift Reggie had was the gift of giggling. He loved to be with his wife, family and friends to enjoy a night out and at the end of the evening his parting comment was…
Glad you got to see me
Yes we are, Reggie, yes we are.
