Merancas Bridge to Careers

THIS IS FOR 2025/2026 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY.

The Bridge to Careers Initiative helps students in the Charlotte area who are dedicated to helping underserved communities. It gives them access to education and training for high demand jobs and offers meaningful career opportunities. Bridge to Careers also provides a scholarship program for students enrolled in the following career-training fields: advanced manufacturing, construction and trades, healthcare, information technology and transportation systems. If you receive a Bridge to Careers scholarship, you are encouraged to work in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region.

Benefits of the Bridge to Careers scholarship includes funds to cover your tuition, books, fees and materials. However, this scholarship only covers in-state tuition rates, so if you are out-of-state, you would still need to pay the remaining tuition cost after the scholarship is applied. Students in the Bridge to Careers scholarship program also work one-on-one with a coach to receive academic support, career coaching and career support services.

Requirements to maintain the scholarship include attending monthly career-focused workshops during each semester, attending three academic check ins per semester and maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA.

Potential Bridge to Careers scholarship recipients will receive an invitation to participate in a selection interview through their Central Piedmont email accounts.
