Charles Vance "Van" Abernethy - Chef Van Scholarship

The Charles Vance “Van” Abernethy – Chef Van Scholarship was established in 2010 by Patrice Abernethy. This scholarship is available to the following students:

  • Financial Need as demonstrated by FAFSA application process
  • Enrolled in the Culinary Program
  • Enrolled in 6 or more credit hours per semester

To qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • Submit a 50-100-word essay on your goals for the future in the culinary field.
  • Upload a letter of recommendation from a member of the faculty and/or staff of the culinary arts program

This scholarship is renewable if the applicant still meets the above requirements.

Scholarships can be used for tuition, required fees, e-text fees, and textbooks, if required, unless otherwise noted.
