Bettie Dibrell Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Bettie Dibrell Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established in 2008 in memory of Bettie Dibrell who taught at Central Piedmont from 1975-1979 and returned in 1994 as the substance abuse program chair, a position she held until she died unexpectedly in 2008. For more than 35 years, Bettie was a mentor, teacher, and supporter to many at the college and to those in Charlotte who worked in the field of chemical dependency treatment and human services. This scholarship is available to the following students:

  • Financial need as demonstrated by FAFSA application process
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed 6 credit hours in Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Substance Abuse
  • Enrolled in 6 credit hours per semester

Scholarships can be used for tuition, required fees, e-text fees, and textbooks, if required, unless otherwise noted.
