Bridge to Careers

The Bridge to Careers Initiative is designed to provide access to education and skills training that lead to high-demand, meaningful careers in the Charlotte region. Students enrolled in Bridge to Careers career-training fields are eligible for scholarships covering tuition, books, fees, and materials and will receive structured advising support, career coaching, and career placement support services. Training and educational opportunities range from short-term certificates to two-year degrees.

An applicant must be a Central Piedmont student who maintains a 2.0 GPA; who is working toward a degree, diploma, or certificate in advanced manufacturing, construction, healthcare, information technology, or transportation (automotive, logistics, heavy equipment, and CDL/truck driving); who will commit to attend monthly career-focused workshops and academic check-ins; and who has demonstrated a commitment to the Black or African American and Latino or Hispanic communities.
