The Cato-Hubert H. Thomason Endowed Scholarship

The Cato-Hubert H. Thomason Endowed Scholarship is available to Central Piedmont students in any associate degree, diploma, or certificate program who have financial need. Preference will be given to students who have worked for pay, are working for pay, or who have worked or are working without pay in community service.

In memory of Hubert H. Thomason (1921-1997), who was employed by The Cato Corporation from 1951-1997, this scholarship program was established in 1998. Hubert Thomason was the company’s first Secretary-Treasurer. From 1952-1970 he was also a member of the Board of Directors.
