The Cato-John W. De Stefano Endowed Scholarship

The Cato-John W. De Stefano Endowed Scholarship is available to Central Piedmont students in any associate degree, diploma, or certificate program who have financial need. Preference will be given to students who have worked for pay, are working for pay, or who have worked or are working without pay in community service.

In honor of, and later in memory of John W. De Stefano (born 1938), who was employed by The Cato Corporation from 1966-1989, this scholarship program was established in 1999. John W. De Stefano’s career with Cato culminated in his position as Chief Store Operations Officer, Cato Division.
