The Cato-James W. (Jim) Emry Endowed Scholarship

The Cato-James W. (Jim) Emry Endowed Scholarship is available to Central Piedmont students in any associate degree, diploma, or certificate program who have financial need. Preference will be given to students who have worked for pay, are working for pay, or who have worked or are working without pay in community service.

In honor of James W. (Jim) Emry (born 1943), who was employed by the Cato Corporation from 1962-1995, this scholarship program was established in 1999. Jim Emry’s career with Cato culminated in his position as Chief Merchandise Officer, Cato Division.
