Merancas Bridge to Careers

The Bridge to Careers Initiative is designed to provide access to education and skills training that lead to high-demand, meaningful careers in the Charlotte region. Students enrolled in Bridge to Careers career-training fields are eligible for scholarships covering tuition, books, fees, and will receive structured advising support, career coaching, and career placement support services. Training and educational opportunities range from short-term certificates to two-year degrees.

An applicant must be a Central Piedmont student who maintains a 2.0 GPA; who is working toward a degree, diploma, or certificate in advanced manufacturing, construction, healthcare, information technology, or transportation (automotive, logistics, heavy equipment, and CDL/truck driving); who will commit to attend monthly career-focused workshops and academic check-ins; and who has demonstrated a commitment to the Black or African American and Latino or Hispanic communities.
