Debbie Antshel Memorial Scholarship

The Debbie Antshel Memorial Scholarship was established in 2008 to honor her legacy by helping graduating or recently graduated Charlotte-Mecklenburg high school seniors, dedicated to public service, continue their education at Central Piedmont Community College and leverage their knowledge, skills, and passions to positively impact their community.

This scholarship is available to the following students:

  • Financial need as demonstrated by FAFSA application process
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Enrolled in one of the following programs:
    – Human Services Technology
    – Early Childhood Education
    – Interpreter Education
    – Nursing, Nurse Aide, Nurse Assistant, Medical Assisting
    – Occupational Therapy Assistant
    – Physical Therapy Assistant
    – Respiratory Therapy
    – Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene
    – Ophthalmic Medical Assistant
    – Emergency Medical Science*
    – Fire Protection Technology
  • Demonstrate a commitment to community service and improving the lives of others
  • Graduating from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and enrolling in CPCC in the following fall semester

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Submit an essay
  • Submit a recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, advisor, coach, employer, volunteer coordinator
  • Write a handwritten thank you note to the donor of this scholarship

Scholarships can be used for tuition, required fees, e-text fees, and textbooks, if required, unless otherwise noted.
